Reservations & Breeding Information

At Little Prairie Farms, we thoughtfully plan each breeding with the goal of producing structurally correct, productive, and competitive Nigerian Dwarf goats. While every effort is made to follow our planned breeding schedule, all pairings are considered tentative and may change until a doe has been confirmed bred.

Reservations

Reservations are accepted on planned breedings and are filled in the order deposits are received. A non-refundable reservation fee of $100 is required to reserve a kid (doe or buck) from a specific breeding. This reservation fee will be applied toward the final purchase price of your kid.

When placing a reservation, you may also designate a secondary breeding as a backup option. If your first-choice breeding does not produce an available kid, you will automatically be considered for your alternate breeding or placed on our complimentary waitlist.

If you are not ready to place a deposit, we are happy to add your name to our free waitlist for future kid availability.

Reservation Priority

While reservations are generally honored in the order they are received, preference may be given to established performance herds that actively participate in ADGA performance programs, including:

  • ADGA Linear Appraisal

  • ADGA-sanctioned dairy goat shows

  • ADGA Dairy Herd Improvement (Milk Testing)

We value breeders who are committed to improving the Nigerian Dwarf breed through performance evaluation and responsible breeding practices.

Herd Retention

As part of our commitment to continually improving our breeding program, Little Prairie Farms reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding, regardless of existing reservations or waitlist status. Herd replacements are selected before reservations are finalized.

Placing a Reservation

If you would like to reserve a kid from a planned breeding, please contact us with:

  • The breeding(s) you are interested in

  • Your name

  • Your preferred phone number and/or email address

We will gladly discuss our breeding plans, answer any questions, and help you find the pairing that best fits your goals.
